I didn’t get out of bed until 1pm today!!! I don’t think I’ve done that since college. I woke up at 7:30am, but just couldn’t manage to pull myself out of bed for another several hours. I think this week just really wore me out.

Started off strong! It is so hard to drag myself out of bed at 5:50AM, when it’s still dark out, to get to yoga, but once I’m up and at the studio I feel great. We had two football games tonight so I did my fair share of running around. I even got a catch and got tackled by a very large boy. Ouch!

14 days instead of 21 this time. 7 of fruits/veggies and then 7 more with the addition of chicken/fish. Ready, set….go!
The detox is finally O-V-E-R!!! It’s occurred to me that I should tack on a few extra days, since I’ve cheated here and there, but (as Augie has said) it’s time to let the birds fly out of the nest. So now the challenge is whether we can continue to eat healthfully outside the confines of the detox. This list of 30 of the Healthiest Foods has been helpful as I start to think about what my diet will look like from now on. I’ve realized that I don’t need lots of carbs and sweets to feel satisfied with what I eat. Not to say that I won’t ever eat those things (I’ve recently found a whole bunch of baking recipes that I want to try!), but they won’t appear in my diet as regularly as they used to.
